Damian Willemse leads the Springboks celebrations in FULL kit and a cheeky tattoo

Springboks full-back Damian Willemse is leading the side’s celebrations after their Rugby World Cup victory.
The 25-year-old started the 12-11 victory over the All Blacks in the final on Saturday and has been pictured in full kit since.
Fans have been flocking to his Instagram page since the win over New Zealand, with the youngster posting videos of pictures of the team’s antics.
After the World Rugby Awards on Sunday evening, the Springboks departed France and arrived in South Africa on Tuesday morning.
Willemse’s antics
That evening, the Boks had tattoo artists come into their hotel with the likes of RG Snyman, Siya Kolisi, Bongi Mbonambi and Willemse all getting fresh ink with the William Webb Ellis Cup printed on their skin with 2019 and 2023 underneath it.
Meanwhile, Snyman has also been causing havoc after reminding Eben Etzebeth of a bet that he made during the tournament and has been dishing out free haircuts similar to his, with Willemse partaking.

Willemse posted a video of the cheeky spot he decided to get his World Cup-winning tattoo on Instagram, a move that has proved popular with some fans.
One fan reposted the video on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, with the caption: “Damian Willemse just had the Rugby World Cup trophy tattooed on his bum.” The post has reached over 6 million people, with several thirsty replies to the posts.
Willemse also posted a video of him and Springboks prop Ox Nche. In the video, he is seen shouting for Jacques Nienaber’s attention before being thrown the ball and calling for a mark and a scrum, a bold tactic that South Africa used during the World Cup.
He then crouches down in a scrummaging position with Nche before acting as the referee, awarding him and Nche a penalty.

Fans gush over Damian Willemse
Speaking to EWN during the Springboks’ trophy parade, Willemse did confirm that he has showered since the final but is in the same kit that he wore during the final on Saturday.
Willemse has been trending on X in recent days with fans enjoying his celebration antics.
“Lol Damian Willemse still being in his kit from Saturday is ending me and I love it. This man is a 2x world champion at 25, I would be wilding out too,” one fan wrote.
Another compared his celebrations to Manchester City’s Jack Grealish after the Premier League club won the treble.
Their post read: “Damian Willemse has been on his Jack Grealish vibes since winning the Rugby World Cup. Can’t wait to see how he celebrates in 2027 when he becomes the first man to win THREE RWCs!”
An All Blacks fan couldn’t help but be impressed: “Obviously love the All Blacks but Damian Willemse still being in his kit days later back in South Africa is pretty great.”
